You own the medical success and scientific credibility of both therapy areas:
- Neurology (≈50%): Build the medical function, external presence, and development footprint in DACH — from strategy to execution. Contribute with new developments in the field.
- Women’s Health (≈50%): Lead, scale, and further professionalize a high-performing Medical Affairs organization in a market-leading franchise.
Responsibilities
I. Neurology – Build & Shape (≈50%)
You will create the Neurology medical footprint from scratch in DACH.
Medical & Scientific Strategy
• Actively build and drive the medical strategy in DACH in close collaboration with Global Medical and R&D
• Translate global strategy into concrete, locally relevant development and evidence-generation plans
• Proactively identify unmet needs and turn them into actionable study, evidence, and partnership initiatives
• Take hands-on ownership of key elements of the Integrated Evidence Plan (clinical trials, RWE, publications)
• Ensure all activities are fully aligned with regulatory, payer, guideline, and clinical practice requirements
Clinical Development & Study Design
• Take active medical responsibility for clinical programs in DACH
• Personally contribute to study design, including:
– Concepts, endpoints, inclusion/exclusion criteria, comparators, patient-relevant outcomes
• Shape studies to ensure they:
– Work in real neurology practice
– Answer clinically meaningful questions
– Are feasible and attractive for sites and patients
• Co-lead protocol development, steering committees, and advisory boards
• Ensure studies support differentiation, label ambitions, and long-term franchise value
KOL, Center & Network Building
• Personally build and own a strong KOL and center network in DACH
• Identify, qualify, and activate:
– Key opinion leaders
– High-performing trial sites
– Centers of excellence and networks
• Establish long-term strategic partnerships with key centers
• Drive selection and engagement of steering committee members, advisors, and PIs
• Systematically use KOL insights to shape strategy, studies, endpoints, and evidence priorities
External Scientific Leadership
• Act as the visible scientific face of the company in DACH
• Personally represent the company at major congresses, advisory boards, and expert meetings
• Lead high-level scientific discussions and partnerships with external experts
• Ensure scientific exchange is impactful, relevant, and fully compliant
II. Women’s Health – Lead & Scale (≈50%)
You will lead and further strengthen a market-leading Women’s Health Medical organization with strong brands and high external visibility.
Team & Organization Leadership
• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Medical Advisors and MSLs
• Set clear priorities, ensure focus, and drive high-impact execution
• Establish performance management, KPIs, and a strong ownership culture
Medical Strategy & Execution
• Own and drive the Medical Plan across the Women’s Health portfolio in close alignment with Brand Strategy
• Lead planning, prioritization, and execution of medical activities:
– Scientific exchange
– Medical education
– Congresses
– Advisory boards
– Content review
MSL & KOL Excellence
• Lead and develop the MSL team (territory strategy, target accounts, objectives, content quality, insights)
• Own the KOL strategy end-to-end:
– Identification, segmentation, engagement, governance, documentation
• Use KOL partnerships to:
– Strengthen scientific leadership
– Increase brand impact
– Accelerate acceptance of key medical messages
Medical Information, Governance & Cross-Functional Impact
• Co-own Medical Information together with Pharmacovigilance (quality, compliance, timeliness, trends)
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations and internal SOPs
• Work closely with Brand Management, Sales, PV, Regulatory, QA and Market Access
• Actively use field insights to sharpen brand strategy and drive measurable business impact
